š Introducing The Pumpkin Parlor: A Love Letter to Halloween Creativity
If you donāt know this about me yet, please let me make it loud and clear now:
October is my favorite time of year. Always has been.
The trees turn fiery. The mornings get crisp.
Pumpkin spice takes over everything (and yes, I am absolutely here for it).
But beyond the cozy vibes and spooky season staples, this October feels extra meaningful, because Iām finally putting something out into the world thatās been living in the background of my life for a few years now. Something else I really didnnāt have the confidence or the bandwith to share.
š Say hello to The Pumpkin Parlor.
What It Is
The Pumpkin Parlor is part hobby, part side hustle, and entirely me. Itās a place where I can take one of my favorite creative outlets (pumpkin carving) and turn it into something tangible. Something people can hold, enjoy, and bring into their homes. I carve both real and foam pumpkins (I donāt discriminate), but this venture focuses on foam, because they live forever. These pieces are meant to be keepsakes. Little seasonal sculptures made with love, a steady hand, and a lot of spooky joy. (As I write this I am envisioning Delia from Beetlejuice⦠I believe a virtual movie date is in order).
And now, thanks to my recent website launch, I finally have a place to share them publicly.
What It Took
Like most things I build, this wasnāt just a āthrow it togetherā moment. It was intentional. It was joyful. And it was a full-on creative production.
I designed and laid every stencil.
I carved every pumpkin by hand.
I styled, shot, and edited all the product photos myself.
I created the listings and made sure the vibe matched what I envisioned.
As a designer, maker, and visual storyteller, this project gave me everything I love in one messy, dusty orange, light-up package.
Why It Matters
Carving pumpkins is more than a seasonal activity for me. Itās one of my core creative outlets ā and one of my go-to stress relievers. Iām someone who has to work with my hands. Stillness makes me itch. Creating (moving) keeps me sane.
And carving? Itās where I blend obsession, nostalgia, and creativity into something I can see and share. It keeps my inner child alive. It keeps me grounded. It reminds me that not everything I make has to be āfor the portfolioā ā sometimes itās just for fun. Or for the person who needs a little Halloween magic in their space.
Whatās Next
Long-term? The Pumpkin Parlor will likely grow into its own brand and website (I already bought the domain⦠no regrets). But for now, it lives within my portfolio, a little tucked-away corner of the internet where Halloween lives year-round.
If you check it out and one of these pumpkins speaks to you? Even better.
If nothing sells outside my inner circle? Iāll still keep carving. Because this is love.
And because Halloween is forever.

New pumpkins will be added ā so stay tuned, and stay spooky.
